US rig count falls again while OPEC+ agree to another large increase in production

Yeah, I've been saying that for over a year, pointing out the stupidity of "drill, baby, drill", good to see you've caught up.

Max, you don't understand or care that stimulating existing wells is a short term solution.  Every well runs dry.  We aren't getting off oil anytime soon, unless you own a unicorn.

Much like "Labor Force Participation Rate"    - low "Rig Count" is also a metric Boilerman historically uses to measure how horrible a sitting president is .....but only if its a Democrat President.

(Disclaimer : I dont use "rig count" as a metric to measure Presidential Administration's congeniality towards the oil industry.    Im just pointing it out to the people who historically have and are now moving their own goal posts in a shameful display of hypocrisy.)

Oh - and to Boilerman's last point on this thread.....Many offline rigs are not tapped out.  They have been voluntarily shut off by the companies who operate them for any one of a myriad of reasons - the primary one being oil prices.      Here's a fun fact:  oil companies have higher profit margins with higher oil prices so they dont want to oversupply the market.

PJ claims I talked about off line rigs, and that I claimed that they were toast.  Our resident Liberals apparently believe that a rig is a well.  Closed wells are closed.  Rigs can be refurbished and put back into operation.  You guys should stop digging.

Apparently Boilerman thinks oil companies dont have the ability to determine profitability of a drilling site and turn it off and on by their own accord..

Here's the 12 page thread where Boilerman blamed Joe Biden for oil companies not drilling which all proceeded to be proven false over the rest of Biden's term

If they don't extract and sell the oil they own, it's because they don't want to.

Not because of Biden. Not because of the Tooth Fairy. Not because of the price of radishes. Because they don't want to

Duhhhhh.

Yes, when stupid people demand that we make oil more expensive...taxes or regulations, wells are shut down.  Kevin argues that you just turn em back on...because he's ignorant.

Wells can be capped. Duhhhhh.

But Boiler has it exactly backwards. When the price of petroleum products goes up, so does production. Our resident "industry expert" thinks it's the other way around.

Boiler is dumb, baby, dumb.

Biden policies caused a decreased rig count.

That's the one I was waiting for, it's Biden's fault.

I do understand. I never said we're getting off oil, I said MAGA's "drill, baby, drill" is stupid.
