No need for hunger if the state and federal governments provide adequate relief to the unemployed.

I don't think we should prioritize the rebuilding of a business whose sole function is to take money out of people's pockets, so I'm opposed to casino bailouts. But the workers? Give 'em what they need to survive, for however long it takes. Help them find other jobs.

Ten thousand of them could, for example, be employed in building a giant solar array or wind farm in the wasteland north of Vegas.

I saw this coming from a mile away.  All is good with Kevin if government borrows money for others to pay back.  Kevin will never be included in the "others", so he's all for it.  This way it'll be better now for Kevin, but not so much for young Americans in the future.  Kevin is such a giver.

Funny, Kevin, but no.  Look it up.

I used my last Bible for parakeet cage liner several years ago. The Old Testament was particularly absorbent.

I prefer the wisdom of Weird Al Yankovic.

Yep, virtually free electricity, generated with no pollution, won't help future generations at all.

I do realize that as a filthy public smoker, you're in favor of air pollution and shortening the lives of everyone around you.

The people now out of work in Vegas could be gainfully employed, with much greater social benefit than gambling, in the sustainable energy industry. Vegas is the perfect place for it.

Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what's for lunch.

You guys!!!!  How about "For everything there is a season..."  Applicable to now.  You youngsters may remember it better as "Turn! Turn! Turn!" by The Byrds.

I liked Weird Al too.

Kevin, we've been subsidizing your free energy since before Jimmy Carter.  Kevin wants today to be nice for him, and expected, wasn't others to pay for it.  Just borrow and give away free shit.............it'll make things better today for Kevin.

Actually, me and my generation would be paying for it, and our children would be paying the upkeep and otherwise get energy for free.

Don't remind me---we had a proto-hippie church, and the choir played guitars and sang that song and other hippie stuff. Not that I didn't like hippies, but it seemed out of place there. They often played it while we were lining up for the Jesus crackers. (Boy, was that unsanitary!)
