They're preparing to be herded into labor camps and watch Trump loot their country. I guess that constitutes "hope."

I don't doubt that many people in Venezuela are happy about this. Some probably aren't. However let's say hypothetically a vote was taken and 98% of the Venezuelan people wanted the US to occupy. It still should not be done until Congress says so. It is the job of the congress to decide these things not the job of the executive. We have separation of powers for a reason and a good one.
I complained about all this stuff during Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden, and now Trump again. I will continue complaining as long as the executive continues to usurp power from the legislature.
