Virginny done took away m'guns!

New Virginia law has Skeeter and Babby Ray real upset !

The law has three primary components:

- enforce background checks for private sales

- limit purchases of handgunds to 1 per month

- allowing local governments to ban firearms at local events (like a parade, or political demonstration)

I dont see anything in the law that "took away m'gun".   I dont see anything in the law that bans any kind of firearm whatsoever.      But thats the rhetoric you hear from the genetically challenged folks marching in Richmond today.

This standard should be nationwide.

"Capitol Police said a 21-year-old woman had been arrested and charged with one felony count of wearing a mask in public. Law enforcement said they warned the woman twice to remove a bandana covering her face but she had refused."

( DonDiego does not know if the woman charged supported or opposed the Second Amendment rally.)

Otherwise the "gun rights activists for the Second Ammendment rally" went off well, . . . with no violence reported.  This in spite of the fact that many (most?) of those standing up in support of the Second Amendment were carying arms and ammunition.

"In a symbolic sign of defiance, more than 100 municipalities in Virginia have designated themselves as a safe haven or sanctuary for the Second Amendment. Lawmakers and authorities in those areas have said they will refuse to enforce new gun control laws the Virginia Legislature passes."

Ref: Fox News

Wow! People in Virginia can only buy twelve guns a year! It might take a DECADE to build up a proper arsenal at that rate! What is happening to their precious Second Amendment freedoms????

I can't imagine any rational person objecting to the very mild and quite limited restrictions in the new law, nor can I imagine any lawful activity that would be curtailed by it. It might be a little harder now for some loser who is mad at the world to go out and shoot up a school, church, or grocery store.

The demonstrators weren't rallying in support of the Second Amendment, because their Second Amendment rights weren't being affected. It's just reflexive on the part of the violent mouth-breather gun nuts to say "DUH GUMMINT WANTS TO TAKES AWAY ARE GUNZ!!!!" whenever anyone even mentions some minimal aspect of gun control, such as maybe banning the sale of weapons that can kill hundreds of people in a minute or two.

The so-called "sanctuary cities" are just the opposite, in that they're violent gun-nut havens. I think most of us would rather our neighbors weren't armed to the teeth--maybe the guy next door gets liquored up, is mad because his wife won't let him have any nookie, and puts fifteen rifle rounds through his bedroom wall--one of which hits us. Sanctuary, my ass.

Suddenly Republicans are keen on the idea of having Sanctuary cities that don’t enforce laws stemming from higher branches of government.

Well, isn’t that special !

so in sanctuary cities.... Federal law enforcement agents will have to enforce federal immigration laws....and state law enforcement agents will enforce state gun laws.     Fine by me.

Yeah, isn't it rich how Republicans popped like overripe zits when cities like San Francisco said they wouldn't cooperate with the ICE Gestapo--and they're perfectly OK with places like Inbred Gulch and Clem's Pig Farm Junction telling the state legislature that they'll ignore the law.

I actually am fine with Republicans having and defending certain positions, even if those positions are stupid and evil. Everyone has the right to be an asshole and a moron if they want. What I object to is Republican hypocrisy. Another example is evangelicals supporting the thief and rapist Donald Trump.

Look at this Trump chump at this rally.

The problem for this sexual assault advocate was that he wore his work jacket with his employer's logo on it. (This picture was taken after he covered it with a sticker) He and his employer were quickly identified. This is what is at the top of his employer's home page.

Henderson, Inc. was founded in 1957 on family values and continues today, committed to those same core promises. What’s changed is the size of the family where, today, family is synonymous with team. At Henderson, a team of more than 150, family includes the leadership group, project managers, superintendents, site crews, corporate staff, estimators and, yes, the Hendersons, too. The promise to go ‘Beyond the Building’ starts with this team, our family, and extends to each client.

His employer put out a statement quickly after he was identified stating that he is now a former employee. They also quickly took his picture off their website. LOL

Plus, as Don mentioned it is a felony to wear a mask in Virginia and this Trump chump will likely be facing some prison time. I wonder if he will change his views on sexual assault while in prison?

BTW I don't agree with the no mask law. I think it violates the First Amendment. It was passed at the hight of conservative Antifa hysteria by Republican lawmakers. Once again, I remind the readers here that the Antifa hysteria was created by the conservative media to dupe their own viewers/listeners.

Bullshit!

The Antifa nonsense was created as yet another false equivalence argument. Trump basically knows no other way to defend himself (aside from just plain lying), so naturally, his stooges have imitated it:

The world: Trump is a liar, thief, con man, and rapist.

Trump: Hillary! Benghazi! Emails!

The world: Trump colluded with the Russians to fix the 2016 election.

Trump: Joe Biden's son got a job!!!!

The world: Trump loves and supports Nazis.

Trump. ANTIFA!!! WHAT ABOUT ANTIFA????

And let's not forget:

The world: This David Miller clown seems totally deranged!

Stalker: Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! MAGAMAGAMAGAMAGAMAGAAAAAAA! WAAAAAAAAH!
