Washington DC murders since The Guard arrived

Just in the last couple of days, they've pivoted from saying murders in DC are down to saying there haven't been any murders at all.

Interesting point, but doesn't make the deployment results very impressive. Of course MAGA is never impressive.

There were 2,856 shootings in 2024 or 1 every 3 hours and it woud be higher if johnson didn't shut down the ShotSpotter system.

I've yet to hear from MAGA morons exactly by what mechanism, or why, the presence of National Guard troops would affect murder rates. Most shootings aren't done in the open, in broad daylight, and most are unplanned. MAGA wants to believe that Mister Bad Guy is strutting down the street, thinking, "I'm going to kill somebody," but then he sees a couple of National Guard troops and he gives up on the whole idea.

There's nothing, ANYWHERE, that establishes any causal link between increased police presence and homicide rates. If the rate in DC does continue to drop, that won't mean that it's because of the presence of Trump thugs.

Just another example of correlation being mistaken for causation. 

Pyongyang has a lower crime rate than any US city.  Thats an attribute of an authoritarian police state.  

Tom and Boilerman think thats a good model for the US.....at least in blue states.

Has anyone figured out why Chicago is in front of Memphis for the National Guard treatment?   Still waiting.

MAGA (including Boilerman) have been gaslighting Chicago forever despite the fact there are far worse cities in red states when it comes to violent crime.     SO this isnt about crime...this is about red meat for FOX News and their campaign against "liberals".      And its a desperate attempt to bring attention away from his ongoing economic disaster and special deal he gave to sex offender Maxwell to bury his name.

  The amazing thing is that Lewis and PJ apparently completely overlook that the crime in Chicago, Boston, New York and other Blue AND Red cities is out of control and these cities are NOT doing whatever needs to be done to end crime. The citizens of ALL cities deserve to have a safe city. 

Violent crime is so bad in Chicago that johnson shut down ShotSpotter in order to pretend there is no problem.

pj and the other usual suspects think almost 3,000 shootings in a city is no problem.

As I said yesterday democrats and the usual suspects here support criminals and illegals rather than law abiding people.
