Washington DC murders since The Guard arrived

.42 to the 15th power  X .58 is the math.  The .42 is the likelihood of going 1 day without a murder in DC during summer.  I no longer have a scientific calculator, so feel free to check my math.

Fantasy stats don't apply. There have now been 16 murders in DC in August.

Kevin, there has been 1 murder in 16 days, so 15 murders within the first 15 days of the month prior to the Guard arriving...assuming that you're data is accurate.  Thank you for making my point, BTW.

Nope. The timing isn't as you claim. Ten of those murders were AFTER Trump's goons showed up.

The number of murders is irrelevant. Even if Boiler's fantasy numbers were true, that doesn't mean that the numbers changed BECAUSE Trump's goons showed up. How does picking up trash in the park affect murders?

I tried to explain the difference between correlation and causation, but that was waaaaay beyond Boiler's comprehension.

Boiler has yet to tell us HOW the presence of a few Trump thugs affected the murder rate. A few more police doesn't mean less crime. Especially since Trump's thugs don't know the city and AREN'T COPS!

One DC murder in 17 days now.  The likelihood of this is about 1/6500.  Kevin tells us this isn't proof of Trump's policy success.

High death counts are far more appealing to Kevin than a Trump success on this matter.

I agree with Kevin about causation and correlation.   Plus the higher the concentraton of people...

Isn't murder usually one on one, or one on however many in a school, church, or mall who catch the bullets?

Domestic disputes (a high cause, or so I read).  School/church/shopping mall shootings.  Gang activity.

There have been 'family annihilators' which can raise a daily murder count of a city in a quick minute. 

Gang activity is said to be low in my city, but don't know about D.C.  Maybe they have extinguished themselves, I dunno.  Can you imagine the outrage if guard troops were told to watch over gangs?  Kevin would be beside himself...LOL.   It would have little effect anyway, other than maybe getting some troopers killed.

Then there is the reporting.  We just had a husband shoot his wife dead near the school where she worked.  The early news flash called it a school shooting, and to this day people still think of it as a 'school shooting.'  But I digress.
