We Have A Runner

New Hampshire's first coronavirus patient, a hospital employee, went to an event tied to Dartmouth business school on Friday despite being told to stay isolated, officials say, and all others who went to the event are now being told to stay isolated.

The announcement on Tuesday came as state health officials said a second person in the state is presumed to have the new coronavirus, COVID-19. That person was in close contact with the first patient, and the officials expect more coronavirus cases may be found as they investigate.

Let's see. Because Trump refuses to let the CDC test people, People ignore self-isolation requests when doctors tell them they are "suspicious" they might have COVID-19. Who could have imagined such a possibility?

It's too bad there aren't any liability issues, civil or criminal, for people who are contagious, know it, and proceed to go out and infect the general population. But we screwed that pooch when we decided it was OK for people to not vaccinate their kids.

This is a country full of idiots, led by an idiot.

I don't recall Trump encouraging parents to stop vaccinating their kids.   And it wasn't "we". that did that.  A generation of parents bought into the garbage printed in, of all places, the journal of journals, Lancet (now discredited and retracted, the UK doctor who submitted it lost his license it was so fraudulent.   I assume some editors at Lancet lost their jobs.   And those parentws have been hard to convince otherwise despite the legitimate and correct science about it.

All it takes is one false pitch, very often disease-oriented, to spread like a forest fire and just as difficult to put out.

You misunderstand. It wasn't about encouraging parents to stop. It was about failing to force them to do it. Not vaccinating your kid is child abuse at the very least, and shouldn't be legal. It also heightens the risk of your kid making every other kid he comes in contact with sick.

I don't blame Trump, because I know damn well he can't spell "vaccinate."
