What A Blockbuster 1st Hand Witness Implicates Trump, Pence, Pompeo, Bolton, Rudy and Mulvaney

 The farce continues...

Tom as to your three points:

1.  No, they haven't. Sondland was one of Trump's biggest donors and his hand-picked appointee. Most of the other people may have not known Trump personally but they worked in the White House or in the field on Ukraine policy. But if you want more first-hand information Tump should quit committing obstruction of justice and let all of those people in the know testify.

2. No, they haven't. Most have said it is not their job to determine if a crime was committed. That their job was to testify truthfully.

3.  Yes, as of today all of the star witnesses have implicated Trump and other White House officials. This is really important Tom. Sondland was Trump's star witness. Nunes warned the ambassador in his own opening statement that House Democrats intended to smear his reputation.

If Tinker said he heard from Evers who heard from Chance that Babe Ruth robbed a bank, would Babe Ruth be convicted.

If Lou Gehrig & Bill Dickey said they also heard that Babe Ruth robbed a bank, would he be guilty?

If Yogi Berra said I think Babe Ruth is a bank robber, does that make him guilty?

No.

That is what the Democrat witnesses are saying.

Tom shows his fundamental ignorance--that's what comes from listening to too much Fox News.

1. Hearsay evidence is perfectly admissible, in a wide variety of contexts. One such context is when the evidence has significant probative value. That is the case now.

2. This is not a criminal trial and the rules of evidence for such trials do not apply.

Tom's been watching too many courtroom drama TV shows, when one attorney leaps to his feet and shouts "HEARSAY!" and the opposing attorney slinks away, chastened, and later shoots himself. He should do some research on hearsay evidence.

But I suspect he'd rather be a dumb Trumper.

Tom, has the same understanding of hearsay that David does. I'll pose you the same question I did David Miller.  What is the definition of hearsay? David Miller couldn't answer this question, can you?

Stalker seems pretty much unable to define any of the things he gets so exercised about. He weasels when asked to do so. He even refused to answer my question of whether he thinks Trump has ever lied.

The reason why our Trumpers are even talking about hearsay is that the Republican propaganda machine has been cranking out lies about what it is and why it matters. Our Trumpers would never have thought it up on their own. They're just Trump puppets--they can't think for themselves.

I do expect, though, that the propaganda has gotten a lot of the redneck mouth-breathing MAGA types in a lather, because their understanding of law, like that of Tom, Charles, and Stalker, is limited to dim recollections of what they've seen on TV cop shows. Also, they lap up any "information" that suggests that the impeachment inquiry is illegal, immoral, and fattening.
