I read the article you referenced. As usual for you, you added this part - which happen to be white European countries.- inferring that this was part of what he said. Typical of a lying liberal to embellish what was actually said in order to twist and inflame content. You should be working for CNN aand/or NSNBC - you would fit right in with those lying media outlets.

Yeah, he just happened to say Norway, but we can infer what he meant, even though he didn't actually mention or say anything about "nice" or "white European countries."

I don't think he is racist, he just says things that he knows his supporters will eat up and get fired up about.  In this respect he is very calculated and diliberate.  Again, this is my opinion, and mine alone and  does not constitute the thinking of others in this forum.

The problem is that under biden's open border program we have millions of people coming over the border who are uneducated, unskilled & can't speak Englsih.  They are no longer being tested for disease, so non-existent diseases like TB are on the rise.  There have been a large number of criminals and terrorists that have snuck in.

What is the US supposed to do with all these millions of people?  They can't live on Randalls Island in tents or at the airport etc forever.

There ya go, David, exactly!  You can stand behind 100% of YOUR beliefts, without ascribing those beliefs to everyone on the globe, Reps, Dems, doctors, lawyers, and indian chiefs.

I like a good discussion of beliefs, including those I don't necessarily agree with.  Who knows, if the person sounds  credible I might consider his points  of view rather than dismiss them at all costs.  I can digest what I read, links and all, and form my own opinions.  I was raised in a 2 party household...Dad swung Democrat, Mom went Republican, though they didn't discuss these things in depth with us kids.  I'm talking late 50s - 60s.  I do know that Dad was of a charitable bent, while Mom was not big on welfare, as they called it back then..

Hyperbole I can do without, since, again, it affects credibility.  Describe a point of view once, that's usually enough that I can latch onto.

Trump 'asks' why people from 'shithole countries' want to immigrate to America.  Maybe indoor plumbing?  Clean food and water?  I'm guessing those are available to most in the Scandinavian countries.  Just an example of Trump's loose cannon mouth.  As usual, everything is more complex than that.  I wish it weren't.

Thanks, David, for considering my objection to global, i.e. "all", statements.

In 2018 he said Norway.  In this article, he said Denmark and Switzerland.  Last time I checked, these are European countries.  I did use quotation marks around the word "nice" because I'm quoting the article.   Check out this article and then tell me he isn't a racist.  https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/jan/12/racism-and-donald-trump-a-common-thread-throughout-his-career-and-life

I stand by my content.  The only part of the article that I quoted was "nice."  Switzerland and Denmark are white European countries.  That is an honest description.  I am a registered Republican.  I voted for John Kasich in the 2016 primary.  I taught 6th grade and know what a 6th grade bully looks like.  I won't vote for Trump since he acts like a 6th grade bully.  If my students had said the racist things he does, they would have spentg plenty of time in the office.  As on the last two elections, I will pass on voting for president.  Have you found your sources with studies that state that "DemocRats like child trafficking, fentanyl, rape, murdering the unborn, free drugs for addicts, high inflation, illegal immigration, nutilating yourn children, theft, robbery, unaccountability?  Do you intentionally capitalize the R in DemocRats?  Are you aware that Hilter used the word "rat" to describe Jews?  Having some Jewish heritage in my family tree, it is becoming more difficult for me to stay quiet about this.

Great post, Candy.    Much like your parents, my wife is Rep. and I am Dem. and we DO NOT discuss politics.  And our marraige is great.

Appreciate your thoughts, and your awesome attitude, Candy.

So if they were educated, skilled, English speaking people, they would be acceptable?  Because they're brown, they must be uneducated and unskilled?  Is there any information to verify this?  In every school district where I taught since 2000, I had to have a TB test.  If the border is closed, how do we conduct trade with Mexico?  You could let those who have asked for asylum get temporary work permits, do the jobs that white people won't do, and pay taxes.  You're correct about an increase in TB cases back to the prepandemic level.  It was never no-existent.  https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/23/health/tuberculosis-2022-cdc-report/index.html  As pertaining to terrorist, the CATO institute has a very informative article.  Last time I checked, they weren't a communist organization.  https://www.cato.org/commentary/manufactured-crisis-migrant-terrorists-border#

Wow, that was brutal.  From the article:  “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

I appreciate you posting the link for it, Robert.

The short guy describes Allen Weisselberg.  Do his supporters ignore this behavior, dispprove of it, or approve of it because it fits their beliefs?
