What a great gift to give the nation right before the Fourth of July .God Bless America !!

Big, Beautiful Bill passed  -- May be an image of 2 people, the Oval Office and text that says 'Republican Party News @Republican.s BREAKING: THE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL JUST PASSED THE HOUSE! The Golden Age of America begins RIGHT NOW! licans o 0'

Stripping away people's medical and food benefits so billionaires can get even richer.

What a "gift"!

I know it will help our kids, and grandkids.  It sure seems like the President is getting things done.  It would be nice to get the w 2 threshold up to 5 grand, and to get these 2 wars stopped soon.  Hopefully with the budget out of the way he will get more good things done. Nice to see the markets up .  I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July celebrating our countrys birthday

The program cuts don't  hurt me directly one bit.   I don't use Medicaid or Snap.     A shitload of MAGA voters do.

the deficit hurts everyone.   The dollar is sitting at a 20 year low which is the result of people abandoning it.    You better make sure gold and bitcoin have a place in your nest egg.    Dollar based assets are going to be under pressure for some time.

oh, and next time your friendly neighborhood MAGA poster here starts to lecture about fiscal responsibility make sure you tune out before finishing even one of their sentences.    DOGE was a joke.  And ao are the people who touted it

Liberals think it was ok to let the 2017 tax cuts expire which in turn would have created the largest tax increase for everyone in history.

Liberals think it is cruel in order to get benefits they have to work part time (80 hrs per month)

It's cruel when they are unable to work, which could be for any of a number of reasons. Stupid Tom is right, in that conservitards don't have any compassion or decency and can't understand how that would be cruel.

If the Turd tax cuts were not renewed, the result would be a 2% reduction in income taxes for those making less than 400K. That's the amount of the increase we suffered.

So what Tom claims is, as usual, pure nonsense.

Hitler and Stalin and Mao got lots of things done, too. Like Trump, without being slowed down by silly things like laws or democracy.

As you're a low-info MAGA, I can understand, if not excuse, your insanely silly statement that the Big Ugly Bill will benefit future generations. The actuality is that the gigantic deficit created by the Bill will screw our children over big time. And in a less quantifiable but just as real fashion, the massive transfer of wealth from the poor to the wealthy, in many instances, that lost wealth being life itself, will make their prospects less bright and our country worse.

It's cruel when they are unable to work, which could be for any of a number of reasons

Another lying kevin lie.  If someone is unable to work they are exempt from the work requirement.  Conservatives work & if their income qualifies they get medicaid

I dont seem to recall any significant difference in my takehome pay in the wake of 2017 -nothing that I wouldnt be more than happy to put back if it meant a more balanced budget.  Remember way back when Tom wanted everyone to take him seriously when he warned about  the  5 alarm fire manifested in our national deficit?    I think it was like 1 month ago.   I sure hope no one took him seriously.

Its worth noting the Republicans are all using the same exact talking points they used in Trump's first term:

1) The CBO isnt doing the math right

2) We need to use "Dynamic Scoring" to see the real fiscal impact of the bill

3) Resulting growth from the tax cuts will offset their deficit.

How'd that work out the last time they sold that bullshit?     Whats next from Republicans?  Trickle down?

No, they're NOT exempt from the requirement! Only a few of the possible reasons are considered "valid" in the Turd Bill. But let's say they DO tentatively qualify. They'll have to submit a several-page report, IN PERSON, and be interviewed, EVERY SINGLE MONTH.

The idea, of course, is to make the exemption requirements so onerous that many people will just give up.

Oh, and 20% funding cuts will mean that fewer employees will be available to process appeals.

Unlike stupid Tom, I've actually read the Big Turd Bill
