Nines, you know I have heard the excuse that it is just talk for a long time. I don't believe it is. Both the government in Greenland and Denmark have said the country isn't for sale so what is there to negotiate?
The same goes for the Panama Canal. Panama is treaty bound to be neutral when it comes to the canal. They can't give one country a better deal than another country. Again what is there to negotiate?

I quit reading political news after Trump was elected, for just this reason, Trump is a drama queen. We will now have 4 years of late-night texts from Trump whining about some shit or another, with plenty of, "It's not fair" whining included. I don't allow drama queens in my life, in any way.

Well..what isn't negotiable? I think perhaps one reason for his orations re the named locales is to somewhat combat Russia's and China's expansionist mindset, with the latter exercising a lot of functional activities at the Panama Canal. It's verbal offensive warfare, of a sort. He's always employed it..this blusterology. Will it be effective or as intended? Who knows? Certainly not on the surface, as you point out.

Say WHAT, Nines?? Talking blithely about using force to seize the territory of another sovereign nation legitimizes such talk and goals of other dictators! It doesn't "combat" Russia's and China's expansionism, it ENDORSES it!
What isn't negotiable? When another country says "Hands off," THAT'S non-negotiable. Trump has already been told to go fuck himself by Greenland, Panama, Canada, and Mexico. Continuing his aggressive babble about seizing their territory is disrespectful in the worst possible way.
