What will the world think of us?

Say WHAT, Nines?? Talking blithely about using force to seize the territory of another sovereign nation legitimizes such talk and goals of other dictators! It doesn't "combat" Russia's and China's expansionism, it ENDORSES it!

What isn't negotiable? When another country says "Hands off," THAT'S non-negotiable. Trump has already been told to go fuck himself by Greenland, Panama, Canada, and Mexico. Continuing his aggressive babble about seizing their territory is disrespectful in the worst possible way.

He's not fit for office, and the idiot goobers who voted for him are not fit to vote.

Look..the military threat was off the wall..a bit ridiculous. The possibilities for economic pressure negotiations with Trump..quite possible. I'm not defending the statements..I'm just stating it's all very Trumpish.

I agree with you there. I'm not sure, though, that there's a meaningful distinction between a military threat and an economic one. In either case, it's the use of force, or the threat thereof, to acquire the land of another country. I thought that we had fought and bled and died to stop that sort of thing.

If we ended up talking and acting like the Nazis after all, that makes it all--every sacrifice--futile.
