When the red line “IS” the red line

After numerous incidents with Iran the past months, Trump drew the line! Any American lives lost there will be ramifications for your action.

so, they kill an American contractor and Trump does exactly as he stated “their will be consequences”!

thank you for upholding your word!

And Iran stated there would be consequences as well. We don't even know what those consequences will be; we were lucky that the missile attacks on our airbase resulted in no fatalities. There may be more attacks.

Hundreds of millions of people have been killed throughout history when two or more manly men shook their fists at each other and traded "consequences" back and forth until they ran out of spears/bullets/bombs.

You see, you cheer Trump because of what you see as his manly man strength, but he's actually displaying weakness. Only weak leaders abandon diplomacy and compromise and resort to violence. Relations with Iran were fairly decent before Trump unilaterally broke the nuclear treaty. Why did he do that? What was the point?

Of course, what he was doing was conducting his "undo Obama" agenda, but he lacks the intellect to see when something is working and should be left in place. Iran even continued to abide by the terms of the treaty after Trump reneged on it--until the assassination. Now, they're going to resume building nuclear weapons. Oh goody! That will turn out well, I'm sure!

All due to the actions of the manly man you admire, who kept his promise to do something really stupid that would destabilize the Middle East. As the MAGA morons cheer!!

Gosh I never heard him claim “I am going to do something stupid in the Middle East”! Sorry Kevin that is you presuming.

so, now Iran states they are going forward with there nuclear plans! The other countries that stayed in the agreement must have a lot of respect from Iran.

come on Kevin, you know that if the Democrats would have caught wind that we had a shot at the General and did not take it. They would have grilled him over that! The worst thing is that the Dems criticism of his actions only shows the political division to all onlookers (Iran).

enough politics, have any bets on today’s playoffs? If I were close to a betting portal would probably take the Ravens, think they will hammer Titans.

I like both dogs and both Unders. NFL playoff games are usually played pretty conservatively.

The line move in the Minn-SF game is huge; at +7.5, I like the Vikings. At +7, not so much.

I expect the Titans to keep this one close. Again, 9.5 points is a lot.

For the record, I pretty much reflexively take Unders and the points on NFL playoff games. Conference championships in particular, I've done very, very well with the Under in the last 20 years. I'm also 12-1 for the last 13 Super Bowls, which is just dumb luck of course, but you can really get good value if you're in Vegas and are willing to shop around.

Damn, that is a great Super Bowl record! Have been in Vegas for 4-5 Super Bowls! Bet each time and lost each time ha!

They missed on purpose with their missiles

You are wrong. The Wall Street Journal spilled the beans on this. There was no altruistic purpose in Trump's actions. Trump decided to assassinate the general in hopes of shoring up support with moderate Republicans in the Senate.

I believe nothing that the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and CNN have to say. Liberal rags and fake news. These "sources"of news have been proven wrong time after time. They distort the truth and out and out lie. Anyone relying on these lying sources needs to get their head(s) examined. And THIS is the TRUTH.

Actually, their missiles aren't even accurate enough to "miss on purpose." They went 11 for 15 when their target was an airbase over a mile across (missed the airbase completely four times).

They couldn't guarantee that no one would be killed, whether or not that was their actual intention. Pretty much, both sides were lucky, as the lack of fatalities allows both side to de-escalate if they want to. If some US service members had been killed, Trump would have felt obligated to retaliatem and then Iran would respond--lather, rinse, repeat.
