Wow, cjen, thank you for the update on Bartlesville. You confirm that I wasn't just imagining things. "Rural Oklahoma with a cosmopolitan feel", exactly my impression. It may have been the OK Mozart event, for all of us family to drive a ways to see the nephew perform, but I can't say for sure, and somewhere I probably still have the program. He was fairly young in the business, and I recall it being quite a plum for him to get the part (he lived in Virginia). At the time (and now), I had no urge to pull up roots, leave family, etc. That ship has probably sailed, but Bartlesville will always remain "gentle on my mind"...apologies to Glen Campbell!
