One incident does not constitute a trend. Dear God, you say such stupid things.
To use words even you might understand: there indeed seems to be a trend of racially motivated violence against Asians. However, this single incident, which wasn't even necessarily racially motivated, doesn't establish or support such a trend. Asian people get robbed all the time, as do other ethnicities. That doesn't mean it happens because they're Asian.
You don't know if this incident was racially motivated or not. It was a robbery. The motivation of the robber could have been simply that he wanted the driver's money. You're not even remotely equipped to evaluate what happened, especially based on the very little you know about it.
