My first choice would be Warren. She's smart, she's articulate, and she actually gives a shit about the things that matter to people.. The only real obstacles to her candidacy would be that she's a WOOMUN (sad to say, but even now, being female costs you 5% of the vote), that she'll be labeled a RADICAL LIBERAL SOOOOOCIALIST (even though her views are actually pretty centrist), and that she would have to vacate a very important Senate seat if she won. But if there's anyone who would fight for the "little guy," she's it.
My second choice would be Pete Buttigleg. The dude's smart, articulate, and thoughtful. I don't see his being gay as an impediment, because most of the voters to whom that would matter would never vote for a Democrat anyway. And he's young.
My third choice would be Amy Klobuchar. Not because I think she's any whizbang rising star, but because she's not polarizing. She's not one of the so- called "coastal elite" and she's "Minnesota nice," so maybe she would appeal to at least some of the inbred, drooling, mouth-breathing shitkickers who voted for Trump--let's face it, we need at least SOME of those people on board if we're ever going to get anything done. I also think that it's really time we elected a female President. 5000 years of men running the show, let's put women in charge for the next 5000. See if it works out any better.
Two women and a gay guy are my choices. If my father was still alive, he'd knock me unconscious and ship me off for gender conversion therapy.

Did you know that those "Sleepy Joe" comments are also aimed at Democrats? This gets them talking abour replacing Biden, which hurts our chances in 2024.

I'm kind of surprised how fervently some people beat that drum. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Biden isn't senile or anything close to it.
Nonetheless, I think we need someone younger. Biden's error--a major one--has been to fail to adjust to the changed nature of the Republican party. There's no compromise in them, and more importantly, no honor. Biden's been unable to wrap his head around that and has wanted cooperation and deal-making. He hasn't realized that you can't cut deals with crazy fanatics.
I'm actually worried that Biden's approval ratings improving to mediocre might convince the Democrats to put him back out there in 2024, when what we need to crush the RepubliQ is a younger, more dynamic candidate. Ideally, female.
I was leaning towards the Democrats replacing Biden on the ticket in 2024, but a few things happened in the last couple months. Biden managed to accomplish getting a lot of his agenda passed. Secondly and more importantly, he has developed the right approach to dealing with Republicans. He artfully created distinction between MAGA Republicans and the old school Republicans that he used to deal with when he was in the Senate in the 1980s.
MAGAs are a danger to democracy. They are autocratic fascists willing to use violence to get their way. That's the real choice in 2024. Do you want to abandon representative democracy and replace it with autocratic fascism? If so, vote Republican. If you want to continue to have a Democratic Republic vote Democrat. Who the Democratic or Republican candidate is doesn't change that choice.
