Turns out all the underdogs from episode 1 wins.
Jon the bastard kills the Mad Queen & goes back to the Free Folk
Tyrion the party animal dwarf, becomes the Hand
Sansa - the airhead becomes Queen of the North
Arya - the out of place girl sails off to discover the world
And Bran - the boy who was thrown out a window to become a cripple becomes the King.
And NOBODY got to sit on the Iron Throne
Two best lines;
Bran- "Why do you think I am here" when asked if he is willing to be king
Bron (my favorite character) - "We need to spend tax money on brothels"
I wasn't thrilled with the ending. Bran? Prince-Valium? Really?
It really seems like they rushed through everything too quickly this season. Too many characters with their own sub-plot needed to be tied up...and they just burned right through it in one or two episodes. But still an awesome show.
Bran was a neutral choice & a calming influence after years of wars. Greyworm wanted Jon dead & Sansa and company wanted Jon. Tyrion said NFW. Samwell wanted an election (which was laughed at). Sansa only wanted the North. That left us with Bran.
As an aside, I wished someone had killed Greyworm (who always looked like he ate a bag of prunes). He was like Dany - lets kill everyone. I guess when you are cockless one gets angry.
One of all time great shows.
A good spinoff would be Arya's adventures as she explores the world.
