Why in the hell would Greenland want to join the United States?

Residents of Greenland currently enjoy:

Free Health Care

Free Education from primary school up to a Master's Degree

A nationwide minimum wage equivalent to $20 USD

Five Weeks of paid vacation a year

Up to 52 weeks of paid parental leave

Comprehensive social security, unemployment benefits, sick leave, maternity leave, and pensions.

Plus, since Denmark is a member of the EU they can freely travel to and or seek employment in any EU country.

Why would any rational citizen of Greenland think joining the United States is a better option than what they have now?

Those are the liberal policies that conservatives have repeatedly said would "destroy America" if enacted

Funny how they can accomplish that but we supposedly can't.

58,000 people there.  That's probably what comes across the border needing food, shelter, clothing and a phone from the current administration PER month.  That's one reason why we can't have nice things.

I'd say lifetime 2% of all future profits from the natural resources (rare earth minerals, oil) distributed among the current citizens would probably set up each of them as multi millionaires..

Think outside of the box libs.

That's what every tyrant says. I see a country that has something I want so I am going to take it even though I have no right to do so. If we do shit like that we deserve every bit of the death and misery that will come our way as a result of those types of actions.

What the fuck does "illegals" have to do with a hostile occupation of Greenland?

It is obvious that you can't see the reality of the similarity between the two - but then again that does not surprise me...

How are the two similar?  Individual migrants fleeing their home countries because of violence and poverty aren't acting on behalf of any country. They are coming to America because they want to become Americans. In fact by fleeing they are often acting against the wishes of their home country.

A sovereign country using its military to invade and occupy another sovereign country is not remotely the same. The citizens of Greenland don't want to become American citizens. They are happy as Danish citizens and enjoy a higher standard of living than the average American citizen.
