Why is one obtuse?

Is it genetics?  Environment?  Or obesity?    

I dont know - but the shortbus crowd and fat fucks seem to fall into the same place on the map.

It turns out that the map posted by PJ Stroh does not, in fact, measure the "Dumbest States in America", . . . and, furthermore, does not even consider the prevalence of a "shortbus crowd" or "fat fucks" as PJStroh suggests.

In fact what the map does rank is the college graduation rate of the States' populations.  PERIOD.

DonDiego opines there's a lot more to being intelligent than graduating from a college. In fact DonDiego recalls a phrase addressing this topic, something about "getting dumber by degrees".   

Poor old DonDiego suggests that a person making reference to "the shortbus crowd" and "fat fucks" should reduce the ranking of his State in several categories, including tolerance, goodwill, and maybe even intelligence.

It's still surpring to poor old DonDiego how much the anonymity of the internets can reveal about a person.

 I am NOT surprised - liberals typically cut and paste while lying...

All other things being equal, a college graduate is smarter than someone who is not.

There's a very common conservative meme that dismissed this simple fact, saying that college graduates "hain't got no street smarts" or that "colleges jest fill thar haids with all that liburrul nonsense."

Of course, this is just a feeble sour-grapes effort to make one's lack of accomplishments seem less important.

The quality of life and personal income and wealth are higher in states with greater percentages of college graduates. And yes, such places tend to be more liberal---as eminent scholars such as Donald Trump have confirmed, conservatism is the ideology of the uneducated.

And PJ's point was...what?   That he can locate such scholarly web pages?

I know some folks who came out of Country College quite smart.  And kind and sensitive and perceptive and understanding in such a way as to elevate the self-esteem of everyone around them, particularly those qualified for the "short bus."  

Dont blame me - I'm just the messenger.    I just posted a chart referencing a subject that is equally sensative to people as their weight.   And apparently thats fair game around here.

DonDiego's opinion is not a unique one. Conservative disdain for education, science, and experts in general is a well known quantity.    Hence their positions on climate change, pandemic control, and evolution.  

But  can somebody recommend a good safe space for Don Diego?   The references to "Fat Fucks"  and "shortbus crowds" are making him have a spout of anxiety.   And nobody wants that - unless the president is talking about fat fuck Rosie O'Donnell or low-IQ Nancy Pelosi.

So what did the President say about Rosie and Pukelosi that are untrue? By the way, your original posting conviently left out the part about your map depicting college graduates per state so to paint a picture that suited your commentary. You should be working for CNN, the Washington Post, or any of the other lying media sources - you would fit right in perfectly. 

Yeah, that's called an anecdote. Data says that college grads are smarter.

Goodness, no !   No anxiety at all, . . . just a bit of surprise at PJStroh's use of such demeaning terms for some less fortunate citizens.
