I can't think of any reason not to allow the public to see the video from January 6, unless the story the Dems have been telling isn't representative of what happened. Maybe there's another reason that I can't think of and someone will be kind enough to point this out.
Some may recall that I pointed out recently that had six people had been killed during any BLM riot, Dems would be arguing for investigations into the shootings. No such arguments coming from the "double standard Left" regarding these deaths.

The Capital Police Department is the one claiming this in response to a lawsuit by a kook right wing group that is arguing they have a made up "common law" right to view this material that is part of an ongoing investigation being conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies. You don't show the perps the evidence you have against them until you charge them.

I can think of lots of reasons - the main being its an ongoing investigation. You can recall the Ahmad Arbery investigation for a similar dynamic.
But if our resident FOX News junkies are righteously concerned about obsturction of justice they can weigh in on Trump's recently reported habit of routinely, illegally shredding and buring offical White House documents surrounding his actions on Jan 6.....(nevermind the multiple counts of obstruction of justice laid out in the Mueller report - all of which our non-partisan FOX viewers shrug off)
And I see once again Boilerman cant find examples of bad behavior from liberals - so he has to judge them based upon a hypothetical scenario he pulled out of his ass. Well, thats just special.
Actually, a lot of the bigger fish haven't been arrested. A couple of days ago they arrested a bigger fish and then released the video footage they had of him. The footage certainly didn't make the insurrectionists look like they were engaging in legitimate political discourse. The guy was the one that threatened his own children by saying if you tell on me you are traitors and you know what happens to traitors.
