It's very funny how the cons denounced Trump after the Jan 6th seditious conspiracy to over throw a legal transfer of power, yet fell into place to support him.
I don't think it was "very clear" at that point at all. We needed to know if Biden's debate performance was a one-off or not
After all, what would the optics be if a President was dragged off the (figurative) stage after a single bad performance?

Also obvious is that for those of you who have been flogging the "Biden is senile" propaganda for three years, a single bad night was more than enough to "prove" your belief. The reality is that we needed more information.
