Oh, the EU didn't make any promises.  Trump just can't deal with the fact that other world leaders, that actually understand how economics work, don't want any part of his one-sided deals.  The EU is big enough that they can comfortably tell Fat Donnie to fuck off. And that makes little Donny so angry. 

Americans are going take the brunt of this. In a few years, the EU will have new trading partners but there is going to be life-long suffering for those Americans that are kids now.
