Would Canada and Mexico prefer to trade with Pacifica or Trumpland?

I refer to the west coast states as "Pacifica," whether or not we secede. The question is: let's fire up those 30% tariffs. Let's also assume that Canada and Mexico don't take it lying down, and impose similar retaliatory tariffs. Trade across our two borders trickles to nothing.

Now, Pacifica says, "We'll honor the Free Trade Agreement that Trump violated" and takes over the borders with Canada and Mexico. Goods can be imported into Washington and California without tariffs. Pacifica will reap the benefits of free trade, while Trumpland crumbles as they discover how dependent they were on imprted goods as well as export markets.

Now, of course, the orange bully would demand that Pacifica cede trade regulation authority back to the federal government. But what if Pacifica refused? Would he send an army? I doubt that he has the balls. Like all bullies, he's at heart, a coward. (Also, no guarantee that army would win.)

Pacifica would be the richest nation on earth within a decade. Good riddance to Trumpland!

The tarrifs will achieve Trump's goals in short order and will then be eliminated.  Maybe Mexico fights it for a while, but they'll cave.  The river of Fentenyl and illegals will be dramatically slowed and all will be good yet Kevin will be sad.

Since the fentanyl that enters the country doesn't do so legally, tariffs won't affect it. Same with your race-hatred "illegals."

Trump will secure the border, dramatically lowering illegal immigration and drug trafficing.  This will make Kevin sad.  TDS is real.

Meaningless phrases like "secure the border" stimulate the MAGAs and are LOVED by Trump, because they can mean whatever he wants them to. Is the border "secure" now? GOD NO HORRIBLE BIDEN LETTING BILLIONS OF ILLEGALS FLOOD ACROSS THE BORDER. Was the border "secure" when Trump was President? WE HAD THE MOST SECURE BORDER IN THE HISTORY OF THE GALAXY.

Trump likes to spew nonsense like "I'll make it all better" without naming specifics. But it's enough to titillate the tiny-brained folk like Boilerboob and Millerscum

The vast majority of fentanyl (learn how to spell, Boiler...jeez!) that enters the US from Mexico is carried by AMERICANS. So whose "bad behavior" is it, and who needs to "crack down" on it?

We are currently "under Biden," and fentanyl deaths are the lowest they've been in a decade.

A "crackdown" on illegal immigration will result in a huge labor shortage, and skyrocketing prices. I'll be happy to give your orange master credit for that 

Reading that tends to make one think you might have sprinkled too much LSD ( or alternate hallucinogen) on your corn flakes. How many of those hypothetical scenarios do you think could ever possibly take place? Canada and Mexico , in the end, likely can't afford to not comply with his requests. Can they? Really? That may be why Trudeau buzzed off to Florida in such rapid fashion post-election? Mexico's socialist president and her cartel cronies might battle a few days  longer, though; I'll give ya that ( even if it's just for optics ). 

Re: 'Would he send an army?'; it would never get that far. Your limited number of Pacifica citizens would surrender prior to that necessity. How many Pacifica citizens do you speculate are represented in your hypothetical scenarios above? It's a small minority, no doubt. Just curious concerning how many soldiers you have entering this theoretical battle?
