Yet another federal bailout!

In spite of their fight against masking and social distancing and their indifference to vaccinating, the governor of Texas is asking taxpayers in other, more responsible, states to bail them out and fund more testing and meds in Stupidland.

My message to Texans who support this willful ignorance: Drop dead.

NYS, with NYC in particular has the most restrictive rules.  So here are the 7 day stats from Johns Hopkins.

NYS pop 19+m; 7 day 460,000

Florida pop 21+m; 7 day 273,000

Texas 29+m; 7 day 220,000

So who is being stupid?

Texas is aking for the drugs that the feds are currently hoarding.  Why is that a problem?  They are asking for help with tests that biden has repeatedly promised over the last year, but has yet to sign the contracts with the suppliers.

Tom, have you ever been to New York City? With parking spaces costing $400, almost everyone uses public transportation. Want to get to your work or apartment? Better get on the elevator. Even walking the streets you can't maintain social distancing. Oh, and it's colder there, requiring people to gather indoors.

And I noted you're using cases, which frequently happen even to the vaccinated, with hospitalizations and deaths, which target anti-vaxxer idiots. Living in Texas is comorbidity. And being Tom means having a room-temperature IQ.

Oh, I just checked the seven-day rolling average of Covid DEATHS. Texas is about 400% higher than New York State.

Did I say Tom had a room-temperature IQ? I think I may have overestimated.

Tommie-poo, in his ignorance, doesn't realize that Texas has REJECTED vaccine shipments and let other shipments expire, unused, because its FREEDUMB-loving anti-vaxxer citizens didn't want them. So now, of course, they want the feds to ship them drugs and tests.

Tommie-poo is, frankly, a complete idiot to not realize the difference between a city and a state. NYC is densely populated. Florida and Texas are mixtures of urban, suburban, and rural areas. Lower population density=lower case numbers. DUHHHHHH, Tommie-poo.

And yeah, covid cases in Texas are more deadly, because so many Cowboy Bobs are unvaccinated. The feds shouldn't send them jack shit until they get their vaccination rates up to those of more responsible states. Let 'em die, the stupid, irresponsible fucks.

Have you noticed how the FREEDUMB-loving government-hating red moron states are quick to beg that EEEEVIL GUMMINT for aid when they need it? They have always sucked much harder at the federal tit than the blue states.

Why do the Dems and the White House waste their time, energy, resources and political capital on vaccine mandates, when it's their strongest adversaries who oppose the vaccine?  I do believe the unvaccinated are the highest at risk for serious Covid related illness, and death.  It's the  counties that voted  the strongest for Trump  that have the highest percentage of Covid cases, so let em get sick from something that is preventable. The anti vaxxers are given ammunition every day over forced mandates.  I don't worry about the Omicron variant, I'm fully vaccinated with my booster as is my family.

Oh, I just checked the seven-day rolling average of Covid DEATHS. Texas is about 400% higher than New York State.

Wrong, look at the Johns Hopkins numbers

NYS - 641

Florida - 115

Texas - 482

NYS has the smaller population of the 3 but more deaths.

I have lived in NYC my entire life, so I know it significantly better than Toxic kevin.  Subway/bus ridership is off 50% from pre-pandemic.  The commuter lines are down 66%.  With people working remotely, foot traffic in Manhattan is down over 30% according to Springboard.  So the Toxic kevin excuse doesn't fly for the huge increase.

I don't see where Texas rejected vaccine shipments, but they have rejected mandates.

It's the counties that voted the strongest for Trump that have the highest percentage of Covid cases, so let em get sick from something that is preventable.

Cjen - you are wrong, NYC with the strictest mandates has the most cases.

The New York times has written an article about covid deaths per state and New York ranked above both Texas and Florida, this isn't a pandemic of the unvaccinated anymore, people who are fully vaccinated are not only getting sick, but also spreading the virus.
