Yet another reason to avoid Oklahoma

It's an ugly, mostly flat, mostly barren, windswept crapsack state. And it has horrible people running it:

A bill is in the Republican-dominated legislature to not only ban abortion the moment Roe v. Wade is overturned--it will also force women who become pregnant to register with the state. The state will maintain data on pregnant women for seven years, force them to reveal who the biological father is, and prosecute them if they don't carry their babies to term.

For those of you who thought "The Handmaid's Tale" was just dystopian fiction--well, think again. It's actually Republican utopia, coming soon to a state near you!

How in the world do the Republicans get any women to vote for them??

There is no doubt in my mind that the core Republican agenda is to install an authoritarian fascism form of government in America.  I know the board conservatives love that idea even though they won't say it out loud.

He is the guy who wakes up everyday and thinks Trump won the election. You can't get more detached from reality than that.

You know, people have all sorts of political stances/points of view, all along the spectrum, and no one is a "moron" or a"liar" or "insane" (to use Davey Dear's favorite words) for simply holding different views than another person.

Now, in contrast, living in an alternate reality--one where Trump won the 2020 election--is indeed moronic, a lie, and insane. Davey Dear's only defense--a feeble one--is to call everyone else names.

But to return to the topic of this thread before David shat on it--what do you think about Oklahoma's proposed mandatory pregnancy registry?
