This last Saturday I jumped on my motorcycle and made the 90 minute trip to the Downstream. My main objective was to pick up a pair of Designer Sunglasses I had picked out for my wife the previous month. I had chosen a stylish pair of Kate Moss shades. Supposedly $250 retail. The casino's modus of operandi is usually they have their invited guests come in to select the gift, order it and return to pick it up a month later. They get the people who have a strong propensity to gamble to walk into their establishment twice. As luck would have it, the selection I had, did not ship. My Host had me chose from a limited few they had on hand. She encouraged me to take a pair of marc Jacob's, said they were $300 retail. Wife was disappointed, she really liked the Kate Moss pair. I had an engagement for the evening that I had to return for. I hurriedly ate at the Buffet and played my $90 free play and just 2 hands of 3 card poker. I did not play Pai Gow because I am so addicted to that game that I risk not leaving. I left the casino with a full belly, a gas comp, and $73 winnings. I return to the casino Monday. They have cash drawing entries multiplier on Monday's. my multiplier is 4X. I accumulate an additional 5,000 entries for over 16,000 entries. I play mostly Pai Gow. I play until 1:30 in the morning. I have a net loss of $600. I did have $115 in free play. Tuesday morning, I get up at 6:30. fix a cup of coffee in the room. Go to the coffee shop to get a cinnamon roll. If you are a veteran you receive a 50% discount in all the eating establishments in the casino. I had neglected to ask for a F&B with my room, so I used my discount and paid with points. I swipe my and my wife's card for the point multiplier, I get 6X and she gets 4X. I start off playing VP to start racking up points. Move on to slots and electronic roulette. it's around 9:30 and I go and ask one of he pit bosses to open Pai Gow. I settle in for a full day of Pai Gow. I play until around 9:30 in the evening. I'm down $2,500 for the trip. I convert points $250 into free play, run it up to a thousand. Go back to Pai Gow. I'm down to my last $300 and bet it all on two hands, planning to go to cashier and get more money to gamble on if I lose it. I hit some strong paying hands, one being quads. I leave the table coloring up $1,200 in chips. It's 11:30 and I leave the casino. I accumulated 10,000 in points times 6 for an additional $600 in points. I now have $1,200 in points which I will convert into free play in the future. My net loss for this trip is $1,800. I'm returning Friday for the cash drawings.
