I left for the Downstream on the 21st of April. I had an invitation for a slot tournament. I passed several casinos on the way. None of the other casinos treat me as well as the Downstream. this week I had my weekly free play, $150 plus an additional $250 for my previous weeks play. Total $425 counting my wife's weekly $25. I turned it into $900.
The Downstream gives me a gas comp every week to fill my tank. I always ask for what ever amount it will take to fill my tank. Some people has abused this perk by getting gas comps from the host, pit bosses and VIP services and then selling the gas. Now VIP services has to approve any Gas comps.
I played Pai Gow Friday evening and was up $500 when going to bed around midnight. I got up around 7 AM. I registered for the slot tourney. 40 players per round and they had 8 rounds. If you finished in the top 50% in your round you advanced to the next round with a guarantee of $250 in free play. The ten lowest scores overall received at least $250 in free play with the worse score getting $1500.
I finished well enough to move to next round. Same thing for the 2nd round, moved to semi final. Same thing, moved to Final. So far I'm guaranteed $750 free play. There was an attractive lady I was flirting with who had been knocked out. Her friend was still in it. The friend was telling me every one of her kids had been born on Friday the 13th. She was playing machine #21, her son's Baseball number. The attractive friend smiled and said I should play Machine 13. I did, bad mistake. All previous rounds I played Red Ruby's, 13 was a Mr. Money bags. Needless to say I came in last in the final round. Settled for 750 free play. First place paid 10 grand cash.
Turned the 750 into $600 cash. I'm up for the trip $2,000. I started playing Pai Gow things went south with me losing $2,000. I go on Tilt, moving to 3 card poker, 4 card poker, Ultimate Texas holdem and Blackjack. The real sickness is I get within a few dollars of being even, and I don't quit. I get another room for the night. Take a break, take an Ambien. get a meal. Play loopy while under influence of Ambien. Count up losses in room, Down $3000 plus the $2,000 I had won earlier. $5,000 downturn.
First thing in the morning. Casino opens the Pai Gow up for me. I charge with sword in hand, digging spurs into flanks. taking no prisoners. Luck was on my side. Betting progressively when I win, playing two hands. Min. bet per hand $130. Max bet per hand $300 center bet with 50 on the bonuses. some hands together were $700. Thank God I was winning. I cashed out. left the casino $ 900 loss.
Fast forward to The following Thursday, The 27th. Get to the casino around 7PM. Check into room and Playing Pai Gow by 7:30. Immediately things turn bad. I'm $2,000 invested in less than an hour. Take a break, go and play the $250 free play I have for this week. I turn it into $600. I go back to Pai Gow, scratch, fight winning small amounts. Hit 3 card and 4 card and Ultimate tables. Even some Black Jack in the High limit room. I go to bed around midnight, almost even.
Next morning, I'm playing two spots at Pai Gow. buy in for a thousand. My old 80 year old friend is sitting at the table next to me. We're visiting and this lady comes up and says she "Sure would like to play some Pai Gow", all spots are full and I'm playing two of em. Feeling bad for the lady, I tell her," I'll be leaving shortly and you can have one or both of my spots." She then places herself behind and between my friend and I. she proceeds without saying a word, to start running the tips of her fingers across my upper back and my friends upper back. My friend is purring like a kitten. I'm enjoying it as well. My friend is making small talk with her asking where she's from and I'm spitting out words that do not even resemble the words that formed in my brain. I can't take it anymore. closest thing I've had to an orgasm in a long time. I blurt out, "you can have both my spots". She looks at the 100 year old man wearing the WWII veteran cap and says, "Honey I've got us two spots to play". I say "That's your husband?" She's smiles and nods yes. I say, "Don't you think that is something we should have known before we make a sandwich out of you".
I left the casino $100 up.
Next morning, I charge at Pai Gow.
