The "best" seldom represents the "best deal" regarding Vegas buffets. Cuisine quality and ambience (opinions of which vary widely among patrons) are tenets some are willing to pay for in Vegas. Then again, some aren't. IMHO, the "best" Vegas buffets considering cuisine variety, freshness, and quality are Wynn, Bellagio, Cosmo, Caesars Palace, and Planet Hollywood. Most of those are indeed the most expensive as well.
As with most Vegas options, there is often conflict between how deep one wants to dig in their purse / wallet vs the desired experience. Value-wise, breakfast and /or brunch buffets at the highest-ranking Vegas buffets are occasionally reasonable during midweek
(reasonable defined as ranging between $12.99 and $24.99 per person).
Breakfast buffets in our opinion are among the best value, and it's hard to screw up a plate of fried / scrambled eggs with toast and bacon or sausage. For that reason, we often go off-Strip to one of the Station Casinos, Orleans, or South Point for breakfast buffets..we consider those a good value in consideration of the meal type.
