Laughlin

My husband got an offer from Total Rewards for a 4-night trip to Harrahs in Laughlin. Is there anything to see/do there during the day? We don't like to gamble all day and night every day. I googled it and didn't see much to do.
If you have a car there are some great things to do. Christmas Pass is right outside of town. There is an incredible collection of petroglyphs that are very accessible. You will probably also be the only people there which makes it even better. https://www.roadtripamerica.com/places/grapevin.htm The town of Oatman is a tourist western town that is fun to wander around. Wild burros are all over the place and there are cowboy gunfights, shops, bars & restaurants. It's a little over 1/2 hour away. https://whylaughlin.com/things-to-do-in-arizona/oatman-arizona/
You can check for some info at https://www.visitlaughlin.com/ and at https://laughlinchamber.com/. I like to describe Laughlin as "If you don't own a walker you are two young to be there." That is not an insult but a description of the slower pace of Laughlin compared to Las Vegas. I enjoy Laughlin but have to admit the first trip I was disappointed as there is not a lot to do. A lot of non-gambling activity is associated with the river like Jet skis and trips to London bridge as well at Oatman and Grand Canyon. There is an auto collection in the Riverside. You can take the water taxi from Harrahs to the other casinos and then wander back. There are a variety or restaurants. A lot of people that take the charter rent a car and then drive up to Las Vegas for at least one night. The charter flight cost can be a lot cheaper than a flight to Las Vegas. If you are considering the charter take a close look at climate history and the forecast for your trip. It is usually a lot hotter in Laughlin. When the plane landed at 7 PM on my last trip there the temp was 107. I think the temp reached 126 in the last couple of weeks. During the colder months the wind chill can be rough.
If you want to have a good time with your husband, you can try Free slot Super Diamond deluxe even when you are at home. My husband is crazy about this game.

Most of the non-gaming activities are outdoors which can be tough in the summer, especially if you are not used to high temperatures. Take the water taxi to the Riverside and stroll up the river walk visiting all the casinos. There's a new walking trail that begins across the street from the Riverside. Both the Riverside and Outlet Mall have movie theaters. The labyrinths are located on Thomas Edison Drive - probably best to drive there. You may wish to rent a car for a day or two and explore the area. I love that Laughlin is laid back and enjoy the beauty of the river. If you decide on a manicure or pedicure at Harrahs, ask for Brianne. You might want to check out the Laughlin Buzz Facebook page. It's community focused and not all about gaming.
Thanks, everyone.
