Hi - yes, was just there last week. They are not accepting the MRB coupon and have lowered the lunch price from $23.99 to $16.99. Our cashier all but shooed us out of there, but we decided to stay, despite our annoyance that they wouldn't honor the coupon (and frankly, the $13.99 with the coupon would have been too much - we should have listened to the cashier!).
They have shrunk the space of the room by at least 30 percent. We were simply told the buffet had been "remodeled" and that they weren't planning to re-add the entire left side area (when walking in) that is now walled off. They never mentioned the flood (which I learned about from Googling after seeing your post).
Anyway, the food and choices were meh. The Italian section consisted of a tray of lasagna. The Asian section was 80 percent tofu selections. The American food (chicken wings and Yukon gold mashed potatoes) was the best, and the dessert selection remains robust. But overall, we were thoroughly underwhelmed and there was a weird, sad, creepy vibe to the place.
We've been going there for at least a decade, but since CET clearly doesn't want to invest in an above-average buffet anymore - our cashier was adamant that nothing further would be opening/added - we immediately agreed that this was our last visit.
