Tuesday was 4X points at the Downstream. I had a flat halfway to casino. I was checking my tire pressures and one tire's valve stem broke off. I had not changed a flat tire in years. Luckily I was at a convenience store. I do have Triple A but chose to change it myself. My spare had never been on the ground. I had to get owners manual to find Jack and lug wrench. and how to get Spare tire from under bed of truck. Getting spare out was the big problem and I was struggling to figure it out. A fellow drives up and asks to help. He works at tire shop. He shows me how to retrieve spare. I give him $20 for the assistance. I drive to tire shop and have them replace valve stem and return spare and mount repaired tire on truck $10 parts and labor. Went with regular valve stem versus tire pressure sensor valve stem $60. Continued on my way with a new found faith in humanity and the goodness of people.
Stopped at the Buffalo casino in Miami for my $40 free play. Won $800 on VP and $65 on Ultimate Texas Hold-em. Continued to Downstream. Ask Pit Boss for $12 gas comp, (Had $40 left over from last week) and all day Buffet pass, $26. I had $365 in free play, which I turned into $700. I alternated between Pai Gow, VP, slots and 3 card poker, accumulating points on my and wife's card. On Pai Gow I was dealt Quads twice. Up and down for the day and left that evening at 9 PM. $1,200 net winner for the day.
I did ask my host to campaign for me to be upgraded to top tier players card, Platinum, which is by Invitation only. The executives vote on it and the reason I was given previously for not achieving Platinum status was, I had been seen wearing shirts with names of other casinos. They want Loyalty and allegiance to the Downstream. I now wear nothing but Downstream shirts while at the Downstream. Shirts were furnished by the Casino. I'm returning Saturday for free Jewelry.
