I left The house yesterday morning for the Downstream Casino, outside of Joplin, a 90 mile trip. I arrived around 12 noon. Received a $45 gas comp and a all day pass to the Buffet. Thought it might be best to get a room early with it being Easter Weekend. The Hotel registration desk said they were booked up. I went to VIP services and they gave me a King Suite with a $100 food and beverage room comp. I had asked for a standard room, they must have been without any. Had to wait till 2pm to check in.
That morning I received a $250 free play coupon in the mail, that plus the weekly $150 freeplay and my wife's weekly $25 gave me $425 in free play. I turned the free play into $900. I used my wife's card to earn her some points, since It was 2X points on machines until 4 PM. I get the majority of my points from table games. I played mostly 7 card Pai Gow. The two most notable hands were Hitting Quads once and a ten high Pai Gow once, those two hands returning around $1500. One hand that left me shaken was when, playing two hands, I was given Full houses in both hands. I'm elated counting my winnings in my head. the dealer turns up Quads with a pair. That hand cost me $450.
Played a little 3 card poker leaving small winner, $50, played some 4 card Poker another small winner, $100, and Double Deck Blackjack, up about $200. I went to bed at 3 AM. I was Up by 8 AM. made a pot of coffee, had a cinnamon roll. Went to the Buffet at 11 AM. Checked out at 12 noon. The hotel clerk said I had around $80 left on the Food and beverage asked If I wanted to use it. I had no need for it.
My net winnings for this day of wagering was $2,500
