Total Rewards Matching Upgrade to Daimond

Just saw this on the Total Rewards website: "Present your valid, eligible loyalty card from select competitors to any Total Rewards Center between June 1, 2017 and September 30, 2017, and we will upgrade you to Diamond status through January 31, 2018." I'm Platinum with M Life. Anyone upgraded? Besides be able to use the Diamond Lounges, any one found any unexpected benefits? Increased offers, more respect (HA!), better comps?

So I upgraded at the SoCal Harrah's this weekend. It was pretty easy, just a bit time consuming as it required a supervisor to approve the upgrade. They took my Platinum Mlife card to the back which I assume was to verify it was legit. The surprise was you qualify for the $100 'celebration dinner'! It's basically a $100 food credit at any restaurant listed on the Total Rewards website. Sounds like you check in at a Total Rewards counter (of which you now get to use the Diamond shortcut line!), tell them where you want to go and they give you a voucher. Pretty sweet. Was able to utilize the Diamond Lounge which was nice. Going to Vegas in September and hope to check out the various lounges during my trip.
