Where to park free downtown

Hi All, It has been awhile since I have been to Fremont Street. What are the most cost-effective ways to park? I plan to spend an afternoon and evening there. I'll be using some of my LVA coupons, and hitting many of the casinos. I know you used to be able to get validation inside casinos to get the parking fees waived. Is there a time limit how long you can park in their garages for free? I'd appreciate any help.
I like parking at the Fremont valet. Centrally located and when they return your car, give them 2-3 bucks. One of the best parking deals downtown, in my opinion. I have done this for 15-20 years, never a problem.
The Plaza validates tickets and Cortez is free during the day.
My wife and I park at the California. When you eat at one of the places there and show your receipt to cashiers you get to park for free. We like to use the MRB coupon for the Market Street Cafe.

Park by main Street Station and get your $3. back when validated at The cal, too. Huge lot. I've never tried the Main Street Parking garage on the other side of the property. I don't even know if it is self-park!
I know that the Main Street garage used to be self park as we would use that in the summer when the open lot would get too hot. We haven't been downtown since all the free parking seemed to evaporate. We are going in late May and plan to go to a show at the Golden Nugget. We like to play at Main Street, however, so I'll keep tabs on this forum for any late advice.
