1 day of casinos off strip

I have been to all the outlying casinos evens ones that most peps won't go back too. I find that the old school rules, finding $1 blackjack or that old machine that that the strip wouldn't dare have anymore keeps me entertained and I usually have better luck and more fun.

That being said how do I get to water street. Sounds like fun. Should I take the I to get there and where should I turn off at. Gvr exit?

Sam's Town is great for the beautiful and peaceful atrium (trees, animals, waterfall). Try to go there in the evening for the Laser-light-water show (it also runs in the daytime, but is not as spectacular). Best view is from the Ram's Head bar. Get a seat early, and order a ginger ale. Great video poker, but you have to know where to look. Tons of slots. Easy drive down Flamingo, or shuttle from Harrah's.

Station casinos are clean and pleasant; they make you want to live there. Excellent machines. Also great video poker. Our choices are (1) Green Valley Ranch, (2) Red Rock, (3) Sunset Station. Excellent buffets at all three.

Invitations are plentiful at all of the above if you give them some play. You will be hooked.

From 215 EB: Do not exit. Continue until it becomes W Lake Mead. You will go past the Fiesta Henderson and the shopping center. Where the shopping center ends is Water St.(turn right)

From Boulder Hwy: go toward the dam. Just past Warm Springs RD(Jokers Wild) Water St goes off on a diagonal. If you miss this turn right onto Lake Mead and you will cross it(turn left).
I like the sky ceiling at Sunset Station in Henderson..

I would definitely recommend the Silverton and M Resort. Have fun!
Thanks for directions. Will be out there this upcoming weekend and will make it a point to try the three casinos out!
I usually have a better time at the locals casinos. Last trip, in October, we were able to visit many small local casinos in Henderson. I especially liked Emerald Isle. They all treat their players very well, offering different perks like free sandwiches, or giveaways with a certain number of points played on the cards. In fact, our next trip will be to see more of these type of casinos.
