40th wedding anniversary

Greetings LVA friends!. We will HOPEFULLY be celebrating our 40th anniversary on 4-20 if everyone in the family gets thru their their health issues.

Has anyone ever had a repeat ceremony in LV?  Where should I pop in and surprise her?  How much would this cost?

Nice, but what do you mean by "pop in and surprise her"?  Will she be in Vegas prior to your arrival?

Cost?  Spend as much as you can to make it special and memorable.  I have no idea.  Consult several hotel casino wedding staff to find out what is available and for what cost.  But hurry.  April 20 is likely already booked up if using their services.

Or maybe just surprise her with dinner at the [expensive] high in the sky restaurant at Paris or elsewhere. Reserve it NOW, discuss it with someone who can insure the best table in the place.

Since it is your anniversary it will be a challenge to actually surprise her unless you do something like this that is beyond the norm.

What places (hotel or the dam or museum or whatever) does she love?  Something she always wanted to see or do?

Don't forget the wedding chapels.  Call around and ask what they can do to make a re-doing of the vows, etc. fun and special.  A favorite "performer" for the 'pastor' or whatever the person would be called

Congrats on 40 years.  HURRY!!!

Candy

Thanks for the advice. A scenic dinner would be better than Elvis telling her "Thank you, thank you very much."

Top of the World at Strat is fabulous. They have a dinner show special.Yes a bit expensive.About $300 for two.Depending on what show you pick.I would avoid the comedy.I went last year. Maybe different this year. The one comic was the type that singles out people and makes fun of them.Another adult sexual. I am not a sensitive.Yet comity about oral sex with my son? there are other shows available or go for the comity. I love the restaurant.

Insofar as a "surprise" wedding ceremony is concerned, I would reserve a view table at the top-of-the-something restaurant (Binion's, Strat, Paris), and call the myriad wedding chapel places and ask about meeting you there after dinner. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find someone to do your ceremony, flowers, etc

I have no idea what all that would cost, and my guess is "not cheap," but the experience would be memorable.

Make any reservations like, now.

The Drive though at the Little White Chapel could be fun .  It is pretty famous and just past the Strat on Las Vegas Blvd.  I don't think it would break the bank either.  They also offer to pick you up in a limo with champane.  Check them out

We had a great dinner and experience at Binion's Steakhouse.  I noted our anniversary in the Open Table reservation. Several members came by to offer their congratulations.

I was able to keep it a secret. I told her I had some options written down but couldn't remember them. I finally had to tell my wife when we had to change before dinner.

We may never again order ribeye and prime rib. The bar has been set too high.

Happy Anniversary For me 57 years in September.
