1. FWIW, I never complete the Trip Advisor part of casino surveys. They require too much personal info.
2. The fact that Harrah's Gulf Coast made their 50 best casino list at all confirms my decision to avoid Trip Advisor. Tiny casino, few machines, any tables? Unless a major expansion has occurred in the last four years.
But it was interesting to look through the list and the narratives. Typical of "best" and "worst" lists, it depends on who completes the surveys. **Citizen Kane the best movie ever made? Not to me, by a long shot. But always in the eye of the beholder, not necessarily drop dead factual.
Thanks for posting the link.
the Meadows and Rivers of pittsburgh, didn't even make top 50?? and
Definitely needs to be taken with a grain of salty since "Best Casino" means something different to every individual. I guess what you can take away is that people have a good time at these places regardless of what their criteria is.
My criteria is simple - the places that I've won the most money at....and that would be Boulder Station in Vegas...and Presque Isle Downs in Erie, PA.

Agree. Can't figure out how Harrah's Gulf Coast made the list. There is just no excitement being in that casino. Needs to be rebuilt.
