98 degrees and climbing

When I lived in Vegas some 20-odd years ago, we figured that the first 100-degree day would be right around the end of May--Memorial Day weekend. And so it proved; April, by contrast, was almost always warm and pleasant, with highs in the 80s. However, in recent years, it's hit 100 before the end of April. The forecast for the next few days is for a high of 98--so it may hit triple digits again.

This, of course, is due to that imaginary liberal climate change hoax that all the SOCIALIST Democrats keep bleating about. Biden and all the environmentalist wackos want to destroy the country. We have only Tucker Carlson to stem the tide of liberal nonsense. It's not really gonna be 100 degrees this weekend. Temperature forecasts are the tool of the Deep State. I'm sure Hillary's behind it all.

Nonetheless, if you have travel plans for this summer, you might want to reconsider whether you want to be in Vegas two or three months after it's already hit 100. There are many other ways to lose your money, and without suffering heatstroke in the process. IMHO scheduling a vacation for Vegas in July (on purpose!) is like scheduling a vacation for Fairbanks in January. (But Fairbanks doesn't have slot machines!!!)

(And don't think you'll be able to use the pool, peasant, without ponying up--even if you are staying at the hotel, and even if you are already paying a resort fee. "Resort" doesn't mean "pool." You heard it here first.)

100*!!

 Do NOT do it.

Add heat stroke and  sunburn to your hang over.!

But, the casinos (and hotels) do still have AC, right?

We've been to Vegas almost every July since way back.  Not bothered much by the high temps.

Of course that is a clue where we spend most of our time.   And no longer being interested in parading my flabby old body among the young and gorgeous, pool time is no longer a priority.

Come on, everybody!  It is cool inside!

We've actually been to Vegas many times in the summer...usually for WSOP events. It's crazy hot, but there are smart ways to deal with it.

Been many times in the summer as well.  I can deal with warmth anyday better than cold.

I'm the same way. Cold kicks my butt but I can tolerate heat more that my fat friends, If it's just TOO much, I'll put on a HOT wet t shirt and it will last for 2 hours. A sweatshirt lasts much longer.

Heat stroke in Reno was painful.

In the summer months you can survive the temps by being  an early riser or a night owl.    Temps dont hit triple digits until noonish and then stay there till about 9pm.   Before and after that period it's pleasant enough.

and during the afternoon the temperature will drop by 15 degrees simply by staying in shaded areas....like Fremont St under the canopy...but, yeah, I usually don't go in the Summer

I find thar the easiest way to "beat the heat" is to go from your air conditioned home to your air conditioned car to your air conditioned office or to an air conditioned casino.
