We flew Delta last time and they told me the seats I had since last year were not available. They were but they impliemented they next to biz class and wanted to charge more. Pity, the airlines don't get it and haven't for a long time..Lower the fares, fill the planes, and you won't go bankrupt...Next thing you know
they will charge for the use of the bathrooms..
They have raised fares and fill the fewer seats available on fewer flights. They used to not get it but they have gotten smarter. Let's face it - we all got spoiled by the too cheap fares that could not be sustained.
SW can no longer ride the fuel hedge they once benefited from, so they are facing reality just like the other airlines.
