Airport Security Questions

Like others have said just take everything out of your pockets. You will go through the scanner and be on your way. It is easy. You will need to take your shoes off. I've never had a problem. What you want to wear is fine.

I had to go through the entire pat down once. I made the mistake of wearing a pair of pants that had a built/sewn in belt. The TSA guys joked that I would have to have my pants cut off me, but really just had to go through the pat down process. The bad part was that they were training a new girl so first they would show her how to pat me down then she would pat me down. They just kept say they were sorry to be using me for training.

What bothers me isnt the tsa its the people who dont listen and then bitch and hold up the line

I get scanned all the time, but never patted.

Luck and what's going on behind the scenes, that's why no planes have augered in. It's not because of the simplistically-satisfies-some Keystone Cops quality of TSA on the front line.

how about paper money in your pocket. i don't want to just take that out and put in a bin where everyone can see how much i have on me. can i just keep that in my pocket?

I always set off the scanner because my clothes are layered, or have my hair up in a clip.
They have to Feel the BUN on your HEAD. LOL

But like weve discussed on Transportation threads.........the new Machines are just an Outline
of a person, and NO genitalia being shown.
Any discrepancy shows up like an orange circle on the person shape.

Once she/TSA, had to feel my Right elbow.....lol.....
Once my back (my clothes were puffy?)......stuff like that.

What I've started doing, is putting my purse (or guys, your wallets/money) IN my carryon suitcase.
Feel its SAFER in my suitcase which is harder for a badguy to steal..........than to put your wad of cash
in one of those small bowls that go thru the scanner.

Once I get thru Security, I take my purse back out. Easy peasy.

The ONLY thing I have in my hand, going thru The Machine, is my Boarding pass.

You sure can, if you don't mind getting the wand/pat down of your pocket. Might not be so bad, though.

I fly frequently and have yet to be pulled aside, patted down, groped, molested, etc. IMHO the whole security screening process in the U.S. is more about show than substance. That said, in my experience if you simply pay attention and follow the rules, you will have no problems.

Nonsense hit the nail right on the head. It is the people who don't pay attention and don't arrive at the screening point prepared that make the whole process much more unbearable than it needs to be.

As for paper money, I always carry it in my front pocket, never remove it before going thru security, and have never set off any alarms.
