Airport Security Questions

I posted the second link to show why I dont have much faith in the TSA. Its a giant waste of time and money. The first link clearly states more testing needs to be done on the area surrounding the machine. People can believe what they want but Im going to continue to opt out and go though the metal detector due to my safety issues and because I think its unecessary. If you think they are safe, go for it. I dont know why anyone cares whether or not I opt out?

Yes, but you don't know when those two pages were published. For all we know, those two pages were published before the Johns Hopkins report was issued in 2010. At one time, additional tests WERE needed. That time has now passed.

I don't. Haven't written about that bit of your silliness once.

I care about your claim that the testing procedures were flawed. They weren't, and you provided no reason for us to question the procedures.

Go to the ATL website and check out their employment section. Show me where there is any indication that employee screening done by contractors is subject to further scrutiny by TSA and/or DHS.
I don't care if the ATL website says Rihanna is a mollusk.

The TSA screens every airport employee who gets access to the secure and sterile areas. I've shown you the TSA link. And since I know some people need repetition to learn, I'll post it again. Here.

Bob, you don't know what you're talking about.

Hey guy's give Chili a break. He loves what their doing, maybe that's the only closeness he gets.

My main goal was not to persuade anyone to act like me. I was simply telling what I did, why I do it and that I had no problems taking money through (which I think this was what this thread used to be about). Again, if you think the machines have been tested enough for you, fine. Its not my job to educate you or persuade you. Someone (probably several people) have already failed at the educating part. Im not going to go back and find all the articles and material I read through over a year ago to try convince a random anonymous person on the internet. Plus, it also appears that whatever info anyone else provides is summarily dismissed.

I have only challenged your claim that the scanners were not properly tested. You've provided no support for your claim.

I've summarily dismissed nothing. I've read what you've linked and written that neither is persuasive.

You linked to two undated, redacted pages from a much larger document that called for additional testing. I have agreed that at one time additional testing was appropriate, but that time was long ago. Which it was.

You linked a second document that criticized TSA spending and management. It's not relevant to the testing procedures being discussed.

That's it. You've posted nothing to support your claim of improper testing.
Hey, how about this weather huh? wow
Security is a fact of life now days, either deal with it or stay home.

I think it's entirely fair to be critical about how TSA handles airport security, they've definitely done a far from perfect job.

But that criticism should have some basis in reality. And when the criticism is ridiculous, like some of the criticism in this thread, it needs to be challenged, so that worthwhile criticism that might help improve the system can stand out and maybe lead to improvements.
There is no way for anyone to expect for ridiculous criticism in this or other threads to have a basis in reality as long as the ignorant are allowed to spew their stupidity. To challenge them is an effort in absolute futility and a waste of time. Just accept the fact that they are really that ignorant and there is nothing that could be said that will change their mind.
