Am I the only who is replacing Vegas for Florida lately?

Wow!!!! Pjstroh came out of the woodwork and commented on my thread!!! I just want to say that pjstroh posts the best trip reports. I love the way pjstroh leverages technology to make you feel like you were there. They remind me of my early trip reports except funnier, more readable, and way better. A shout out to stungazed and his reports as well.

If anyone's wondering why I gave up on this thread.... well I realized what I was dealing with when it was suggested that I drive 18 and half hours to Bangor, ME to fly to Vegas. I reread my 3rd post to this thread and the puzzling response and laughed so hard I thought that it was Mr. Obvious himself who was tickling me!!!

I'm sure this will bring another volley my way and I'm cool with it. It will take a post from stungazed himself to get another response from me!
PJ, I must have missed some of the Hardrock on my last visit, because I didn't think it was all that big. A long narrow area coming in from the parking garage than another narrow dogleg into what I though was the main casino, which didn't seem that big. What did I miss (second floor maybe?)? Found the VP area with no problem and was really unimpressed with the pay schedules...but I played anyway and lost. Wife didn't think much of the penny machines either. Maybe we are jaded as Vegas regulars, but no plans to ever go back there (even tho they sent me a $100 in free play).

We much prefer that smaller casino 45 minutes outside of FT Myers...helps that I always seem to win there I guess. But its closer to Sanobel Island where we like to go shelling.

Oh, such a victim. No one suggested that. Good grief.

Here's what happened. You wrote this COMPLETELY WRONG sentence:

I merely pointed out that Allegiant serves cities well east of those:

Allegiant flies much further east than slabow wrote, as far as Bangor, ME and Portsmouth, NH, and has nonstop service to Las Vegas from as far east as Plattsburgh, NY.
Boo hoo hoo, such a victim!

Please just go wherever you want. Gambling, sun, swim, shop, etc., just relax doing whatever you want. Don't matter where you go.
I must have missed something in Florida. Hated it. Most expensive place I have ever traveled to and yes I did check that Hard Rock in Tampa out. Our dates were over $350 a night. Just think what you could get in Vegas for that price.
To me the real question is "what do you really really want from your vacation?" IMHO, the original poster was wondering if anyone else felt the same way.
