American Idol winners-vegas show question

Greetings fellow LVA'ers!

The wife has no life and routinely watches every reality and contest show on TV, so I was thinking it would be cool to take her to see one of the shows winners during our upcoming las Vegas trip(Feb 3rd to the 10th)......Yes guys that's what you do to stay married 32 years!
Keep this in mind while answering my questions....I am not rich mind you but show tickets are not going to break my check book. At this point in life, it is more important to see a good show with good seats than it is to worry about 20 bucks and sit in the back of the room.
With that said, American idol winner Taylor Hicks show cost $39 general seating and $60 for VIP seats with a meet and greet (which she would just love). The web site says to ask for a VIP upgrade when you buy the $39 tickets and hope and pray.Odd they tell you tell ask for an upgrade.
My questions are; has anyone seen the Taylor Hicks show? Do you recommend it? Should I take the chance and hope for a VIP upgrade on the $39 tickets or just pop for the higher priced ones and not worry about it?
The “America’s Got Talent” winner Terry Fator seems to have a popular Las Vegas show. The ticket prices range from $59 to $149 which seems pricey to me but if its worth it, I'll do it. Has anyone seen this show? Do you recommend it? Any advice?
If you have seen both shows, which one would you recommend over the other? Does Terry Fator sign autographs? Does he have a meet and great?

Thanks for any help "weggie"

There are sales on Terry Factor all the time, 2 for 1s a plenty. I heard he is great, I will be going sooner or later.
I haven't seen the Taylor Hicks show but I've been in the casino many times while he's played in the Indigo Lounge. It seems like a really high energy show, I'm thinking of actually paying to go in and SEE it when I go next month.
Terry Fator's show is excellent - highly recommend it

Saw Terry Fator in August and I second vegas28m's opinion.

Luck to all ~~

My wife and I would love to see Terry Fator in September. Where do you find the tickets for 2 for 1 at?

Thanks for any info.
I think it's pretty hard to get 2 for 1 for Terry Fator if you even can. But if you go on mirage.com and select his Icon, then check for promotions, usually they have 25% off. i did that when I saw him. They hold the tickets at the box office and you just have to show them the credit card you used (maybe an Id also, not sure). Good luck! and if you go ENJOY!!!
If you are a member of MLife (MGM group slotclub) and you book through the 800 number there are usually offers which involve two for one shows. Ask the host when you call.
