Anniversary Trip

Hubby and I have booked our flight and rooms to vegas in April for our anniversary. Although we've only been married for 6 years we've been together 18.

We are going April 6th thru the 11th.
We have wed and thurs booked at the Rio and Fri and Sat booked at Mandalay Bay all comped.
I still am waiting for offers for the last night.
I bought tickets to see Celine Dion the 10th.

Looking to book another show and a mid range place for dinner friday night the 8th for our anniversary.
We honeymooned in vegas and we ate at Binions steak house for our celebatory dinner.
We are not big foodies but wanted something a little better than Ellis Island. LOL!
I was thinking of mid range 100-125 for 2.
Any suggestions. A little romance would be nice.
Hugo's at the Four Queens is a romantic place for dinner, but might cost a bit more if you order wine or cocktails. I was there last night and had the filet mignon dinner, which came with potatoes, vegetables, and the wonderful salad served tableside (you pick which toppings you want). Price was $49. There are chicken and seafood choices that cost less. I believe the salmon was $32, for example. They also bring you a dessert tray which includes huge chocolate-covered strawberries. If you want to pay for a dessert, they have some excellent choices -- I had bananas foster, prepared tableside. Another one is cherries jubilee, also done tableside. Every lady gets a red rose.

If you want to combine this with a show, Gordie Brown next door at the Nugget is a good choice.

BTW, I don't know how old you and your husband are, so don't be offended when I tell you that if you are over 55 and have a players card that says "Club 55" on it, your Hugo's bill will be 20% off.
Thanks Sue and I'm not offended. Tim could get that card he's 60. I have a cpl of years yet.
Then make sure he gets it before going to dinner, if you decide to go to Hugo's. 20% off will be a big help to your budget!

Hi CC, Happy anniversary in advance! I agree with Sue's Hugo's.. years back that used to be our "special" meal while in Vegas. I've heard the prices have gone up and the food quality maybe down, but it's still a neat place and if Hubby can get 20% discount, that would be neat!

Celine-- I'm envious!! I would love to see her.. she won't be there yet when I go... SOME day! LOL
I'll throw that at him but he really doesn't like much about downtown except the light show. He goes down there for me.

I'm thinking about making a resveration at Mon Ami Gabi. We've never eaten there and I hear they have french onion soup to die for. I'm thinking of asking them for a table outside on the rail so we can enjoy the fountains while we're out there.
Hi Sue

Perhaps you can answer a question for me I am going to Vegas my husband has 2000 points on gold card which will be used towards room if we hit another 2000 I understand he will be platinum but if the points are used for the room will they still count

Thank you

Snazzy
If I'm remembering correctly, I seem to remember reading somewhere in the Message Boards here that there might be a larger discount (more than 20%) for Hugo's by using the Tickets/Dining For Tonite places (except that you can't get it at the Four Queens location of the company), so check that out.
