Anyone Ever Been To The Green Door?

Baby wants to go to a club like this on my next trip out there. Is this one any good? Are there any worthwhile alternatives? 

953 E. Sahara is an OLD (built in the 60s) strip-mall shopping center. It's kind of oddly laid out--a hollow square of businesses surrounding a huge inner parking lot. For some time now, it's been home to a number of really good Asian restaurants (I believe Lotus of Siam is there now, as well as Komol). For whatever reason, other businesses there have been mostly sleazy and never had much staying power. So I guess Green Door took advantage of that overall vibe (no one's likely to object to being neighbors to a swingers' club) and probably a sweet lease deal, as spaces sit empty for long periods there.

So the immediate neighborhood is, well, not great, but I have no idea about the club itself. The surroundings are about as ulititarian and un-glitzy as can be (in stark contrast to, say, the Strip), but maybe that's a good thing in this context. Have some great Thai food before or after your escapade (both Lotus and Komol are actually world-famous).

It's in that same plaza the famous Thai restaurant, Lotus of Siam,  was located before it relocated.   I remember seeing it a few years back when getting some Thai on.      It's in a shit neighborhood on Sahara not far from the Westgate.

not the kind of place I would frequent but I don't judge.   I saw an interview with pornstar, Krissy Lynn, on Howard Stern.    She used to hang out there.   I might go if she was there =).     

i have absolutely no idea what's on the other side but I would guess for every hot, interesting person there's 10 degenerate lowlifes from the sex offender registry,   I could be wrong.    Maybe you can give us a trip report. =)

I wonder what would be the outcome if I shared a lifeboat with a dozen "swingers." I definitely wouldn't pitch the edible ones overboard, not right away, but aside from that...

All I know about The Green Door is that I remember the song...'60s?  Great lyrics, can't remember the artist.  LOL.

"Green Door" used to mean "illicit sex club." Now, it means "place where you can buy pot edibles."

(And remember you heard it here first: by 2030, casinos will be serving cannabis to customers. They'll realize what an improvement it is over alcohol: drunks eventually lose consciousness and stop gambling. Stoners just get mellow and raid the fridge (tableside snacks!).)

It seems there is also a place called the Red 🐓. I think baby is going to be disappointed as most of the clientele at these places, Google reviews, appear to be older than me.  I think hanging out at the Artisan might be a better bet. Somebody mentioned on FaceBook that the bar in the D was a good place to meet other people interested in the same thing.
