anyone know where these folks are at now????

Back in the day the LVA was the forum to belong on, it has changed drastically since format change and such. Wondering if anyone knows where some of these former posters are at or if they have moved to a different forum.

Noahcat- Brooklyn girl, think she ended up getting married and disappeared from the board

They call me Flip- east coaster, loved to play high dollar VP

Colt- from Indy of course, seems he and a girl on the forum can't recall her name started an online relationship

        I think they met in Vegas once and damn they ended up both moving there and I believe they lived together. She was from Hawaii.

Let it RIde- oh boy this was the rebel in the group, school teacher I believe. Think he also had a relationship with another poster Erin possibly from San Diego. Last I knew he moved to SD and not sure if they got together or not.

JustMare- I think she probably still lives in LA county with husband Scott they own a bath reno business. She played lots of VP and learned the system well. She knew her points and what she should expect for an experience at any given moment. Think she moved to another board.

Just curious if you can think of any to add or comment on the above.

Calif.loves.Vegas and I connect from time to time, occasionally meet up.  She posts on another board.  She is into cruising via the casino offers.  She keeps up with Noacat, they meet up in Vegas on occasion.  Noahcat still happy in the marriage, husband has warmed up to Vegas and all it has to offer.  Oh, wait, not the hooker kind of "all", maybe a little VP.  LOL.

One gal I even forget the screen name of had PM'd me and we became friends, met often in Vegas.   The last I heard from her she called me at work to tell me she hit a big VP jackpot.   Then radio silence.  She was in real estate in Calif. and the 2008 recession hit her hard.   I've emailed her several times, no reply.  Guessing she wanted to cut ties with anything gambling related.  Last I heard she was making a comeback in real estate.

I'd also heard that JustMare was on another board.  She had so many interesting TRs.  I miss her postings.

One difference in this new forum is not being able to PM people.  Or maybe I just haven't found out how.  That made it easier to connect more on a personal level. 

My screen name at the time was O2bnVega$, if anyone remembers.  I tried to get it applied here, but something wouldn't work right.  I'm sure I posted some idiotic stuff way back then.  Used to do more TRs.

The last thing you want is the ability to PM people. Someone PMs you, and it's a trivial exercise for them to find out your actual email address--even if the PM goes to a "masked" URL. It is, of course, even more effortless if you originate a PM.

I suspect a lot of people have been driven away from internet message boards because they get their email addresses and other personal info hacked. I've had to change my email address three times in the last five years because of massive spam attacks (we're talking 20-30 emails a day). While there are fairly effective security protocols out there, most websites don't use them to support their forums.

My experience with LVA is that in the course of participating in the forums, I haven't had any problems, but I got two personal websites basically spammed out of existence when I referred to them in my blog--and of course, my email inbox was filled every day with personal attacks, even though my blog had a comment function. It's still the Wild West out there.

No, woody, (I remember some calling you pecker!), the real estate friend definitely was not from San Diego.  I remember an Erin, but she wasn't the one.   I could give more details, but not sure she would want me to.  She was a lot of fun.

So...Blonde4ever, you were there too.  Thanks for remembering me!

Enjoying this post, how about the gent from California sionow or something similar he had super duper TRs, which we need more of to give me a neceesarry fix between trips and Lars from Minnesota had some entertaining TRs.

Sionow (Jon) is still around.He does not post much here any more.Had the pleasure of neeting him a couple of times.Really nice guy.I do miss his trip reports.

Rizzo posted a lot years ago. Lived in Vegas, worked Valet I believe it was at Caesars Palace. Often reported his free play runs and nights out playing video poker. Were often good reads
