My screen name was cjen3349, I'm afraid that, Karen Coke Drive, passed away.

My posts are pretty nearly all to be found in the "Kitchen Sink", aka "The Happiest Place on Earth"
I think they should rename the Kitchen Sink to The Happiest Place On Earth.
I haven't been posting for years and since returning I miss seeing a lot of names, too many to list. Remember meeting so many members in Las Vegas at infamous "member meets". I do remember Sue Casey and met her a number of times at Main St. Station with her husband in the black cowboy hat. That was when she was visiting before she moved to town.
I also enjoyed Jon's (from San Diego) trip reports, lots of low roller fun. Many were for a Month at a time. Loved those old boards. Visited often even got a tee shirt after first 1000 posts..
No long visit Las Vegas much it has lost some of its lustre and fun since my wife pasted a few years ago.
Welcome back and sorry about the loss of your wife. A lot people enjoy going alone but I too would have trouble going without my wife.
It's nice having Jon post his great trip reports again, and I also received a LVA t-shirt for posts and I still wear working around the yard.
Have contemplated a road trip by car from the East coast but a little hesitant. Although I am in good health at 77 it may be too much to attempt on my own. Have to think it over. Reading the forums again may tweak my interest enough to change my mind. Or maybe entice me enough to fly in for a short trip to see how much it really has changed. Time will tell. My partner and better half was always my driving force, especially where Vegas was concerned. 1986Sharing experiences were the best part of our many trips. From 1986 -2012 we spent 3-4 weeks a year doing Nevada. Sometimes on a long 4-week trip and other times shorter trips but more frequently during the year. Just the planning of our itinerary was a fun activity.
Good to be back.
ROAD TRIP?
Much more fun with a co-pilot! You can argue over the choices in music and stop when you want and sleep in the car, maybe.Road food is fun, too.
Flea bag motels with cockroaches!
Many first time food choices. Carl's Jr. was one.Whimpy's burgers.
Seattle to Reno is OK,if you stop in Susanville.
Seattle to Las Vegas is pure torture.105 MPH in the desert? Yeah, just live on the edge.Drive at night when there is a full moon!WAY better.

Welcome back. 77 is young, find someone to go with you and have a blast. My parents were still going till in there late 80's.
I ran into Becki the moderator about 10 years ago in San Diego. She followed me home and is now quarantined in my house.
You wonder if many just “move on” or something much worse as not with us anymore.
I joined in 2002 as janabanana. Haven't gone as much this last decade because of the lousy odds/rules for low rollers on bj, vp, resort fees plus paid parking. Last trip was in 2016. Haven't been on this website since then so trying to navigate the new look and format. I've been wondering about the members from my first 8 years on here such as Sue Casey. Hard to remember the other names but would know them if I saw them (their name that is). Enjoyed meeting a few at a couple member meetups. Hubby and I have a trip planned for mid July for my 60th birthday but waiting to see what happens in June to see if we go or cancel.
