been a while

Hi folks, been a rough year for me but things are looking up. Got a divorce after 31 years, and hadn’t gone to Vegas in a while but am now with someone new and are heading there on July 5th-8th. We are excided to see what's been going on in the last year and a half. she has never been to shows out there and also wants to take me out to eat at a good steak restaurant. Any suggestions?
I've not had a chance to eat there, but have read on this board that Austin's at Texas Station is very good--plus you have the 50% off LVA coupon. Flame at El Cortez also has the 50% off LVA coupon, and I've always had good steaks there.

Sorry about your divorce.
If she is around your age, I'm sure she grew up with the Beatles - go see Love at the Mirage, you both will love it.

A few steakhouses worth mentioning:Cut,Prime,Craftsteak and Nine

+1. Best ongoing show IMHO.
I agree with the suggestion for LOVE. The best cirque show I've seen. The music is fantastic,
For a good steak dinner, I'm partial to All American Grill at the Rio. The place is a bit on the casual side, but good cuts of meat cooked on a mesquite grill.
I'm now seeing in the cable listings a show on Food Network called "Meat & Potatoes" and tonight (Monday, May 30th) at least at 10 PM and 1 AM Pacific Time in the episode called "Meats on the Bone" and in it it says that the host, Chef Rama tries the 45-Ounce Tomahawk Steak at Hank's Fine Steaks in Henderson, NV. So if you're interested, maybe you should check that out!

I just saw the above-mentioned "Meat And Potatoes" show (it aired again tonight, Saturday, 6/4) and this Hank's is actually in Green Valley Ranch Casino.

My husband and I loved Craftsteak at MGM! Everything tasted sooooo good and the sides (which are a la carte) are big portions so you can share rather than buying 2 of the same one.
