Best Football viewing spot without alot of people

So...here's a question for folks visiting in recent days....    I want to find a place to watch Sunday Night Football.

I'd like to find a place that has comfy seats....a big screen.....properly made cocktails served in the correct bar ware....and no reservations or trouble finding a seat.

Basically I'm looking for a place that should have big crowds for Sunday Night Football but doesnt.       Resorts World ?   Fountain Bleu?   Are those places dead on Sundays?    Something else like that?

Absolutely not. Stay off the Strip (good general advice). Go to one of the fancier locals' casinos. Not all of them will have Sunday night viewing parties, but many will. There will be free contests, drink and food deals, etc.

As a general rule, the farther away you are from the tourists, the more likely an uncrowded venue. That's why I recommend Red Rock, Durango, or perhaps South Point. Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, and M are other possibilities. Also consider Suncoast or Rampart.

Nothing downtown will be worthwhile.

Westgate touts "free football parties" with drink and food specials all day.

Sunset Station has a nice sportsbook, I think it was recently updated.  I agree with Kevin, stay off the strip, you'll have free parking, good service and cocktails off the main drag.

M has a hot dog cart!   lol

I went to several locals places last year and they were all packed with locals.   You had to get there really early if you wanted a seat....and if you got up to get a drink somebody would snatch your seat.    Thats what Im looking to avoid.

I was hoping with visitation going down that maybe one of the touristy spots is dead on Sunday night.     Maybe nowhere is dead on Sunday night

The trouble is, the places on the Strip that have the amenities you're looking for don't have them for free...or the cocktails you'd like are $26 each...or are packed with turistas

Your thought of maybe going to an outlying property like Fountainblah is a good one, but I don't know if their overall visitation is down enough to make the sports book empty on a Sunday night. I get the idea--you hope that maybe by 5pm Sunday, most of the tourists will be on the freeway crawling back to LA, or will have gone to the airport.

My recommendation, then, would be South Point--simply because the sports book is huge, drink service is excellent, there's the legendary hot dog cart as well as the sports deli right nearby, and the tourists were never there in the first place. Plenty of free parking and lots of dining options after.

I don't know about Southpoint.  Not in the sportsbook at least.  Maybe one of their bar areas/lounges.  You'd get everything in one of those except for the super big screen.

They also have a pretty decent sized showroom, and I've seen MNF and playoff parties in there ,(open to all and free), but I don't know about Sunday night. The sports book viewing area is pretty big, which is why I recommend it.

Try the Virgin.  Nobody there.  Sunset Station was packed.  The high limit bar at the Virgin has low denoms at the bar and seats are always available for college games.  I have not been on Sunday night though.

thanks for the input.   IVirgin might be a good idea except the VP sucks there.    Im thinkind giving Durango a try.  If its busy I guess I can go to Johnny Macs in Henderson which is always a good time.
