Best pool party, night club

Later this summer, I'm bringing my just turned 21 granddaughter and a friend to Las Vegas.  She would like to attend a day pool party and hit a club or 2 at night.  I plan on her using the Circa coupon for Champagne.  I'm thinking if we stay at the Rio, She could do the Voodoo club, Ghostbar, and pool party at the Palms or Rio.  Easy access without need for transportaion.  Are those "hip" enough for her age?  Any other suggestions?

Your a great grandma.Wish I could offer you advice.I am a senior. My days clubbing long time ago.

Maybe ask the stuff forum.

Based solely on the recommendations of friends, I would say Drai's on the roof of the Cromwell. They've been there for 50+ years, back when it was the Barbary Coast.

Drai's has a daytime pool party and a nighttime club. It's kind of iconic, "classic Vegas," which would be the perfect intro for a Vegas newbie. The parties are famous and have been going on for that entire 50 years. I've watched them from a vantage point at the Horseshoe, and it looks like everyone is having a blast.

It won't be cheap, but neither will any of the alternatives. I wouldn't recommend the Rio for partying, because, inexplicably, it's always kind of dead in there.

The location of Cromwell at "the" famous Vegas corner means that she can take a look inside Caesars and Bellagio, with the fountain show at the latter. There are quite a few good food options, albeit pricey. (Heading north, on the east side of the Strip, you'll find some less expensive options )

The Cromwell would be about a fifteen-minute walk from the Rio. If it's too hot for that, there are buses along Flamingo Road every eight minutes, 24 hours.

I've heard that the Palms parties (pool and otherwise) are a lot of fun, but I've also heard that they're kind of "too cool" and your daughter might not like the vibe. Other than that, the Palms is a solid choice and when you get the munchies, there are lots of good food options, including the buffet.

Don't bother eating at the Rio BTW. Good quality, but lordy lordy lordy high prices. The Gold Coast next door is the play for food. If you like Chinese, there are two great places there, one of which is the justly famous Ping Pang Pong.

You only turn 21 once! Live it up! Damn the torpedoes! Wake up not fully remembering what you did last night or where you did it!

(Make sure you join the players' club at the Rio to get $10 free play AND free late checkout! (Great for when you wake up at noon!)

Oh and I forgot to mention, every casino you visit, sign your daughter up for the players' club and tell them it's her 21st birthday. She might get some special goodies.

Great advice for Kevin.I stayed at Cromwell couple years ago. The young people lined up to enter.

i read Cromwell going to be another Vanderpump this year.

Thanks, I'll check it out!

I thought Drais was going away with the remodel.  I think it is moving back to the basement whereit started

Brent, you may be right.I heard lot of complaints about the noise.Doesnt bother me.Although I shy away from downtown because of noise.Past I stayed Golden Nugget a lot.

You're right. Drai's is moving back to the basement, while the pool parties will still be upstairs but in an expanded space.

The Cromwell is being renamed the Vanderpump, which is the worst name in the galaxy for a casino, with the possible exception of the Silver Commode.
